May 2, 2014 by Edwin Prakoso Leave a Comment

heartbleed

Autodesk has released AutoCAD and Inventor security hotfix. This hotfix is to address the Heartbleed vulnerabilty issue. In short, heartbleed bug allows thefts to steal private keys, users’ session keys and passwords. We don’t want this to happen, do we?

This hotfix is only for Inventor, AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT 2015 based products. This includes all AutoCAD 2015 verticals like AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Mechanical, etc.

This hotfix won’t be notified by Autodesk Application manager. Currently Autodesk Application Manager only notify Service Packs, but Autodesk mentioned that hotfix will be supported in the future.

Find the list of all hotfix for Heartbleed vulnerability here.
