AutoCAD 2015 Service Pack 1 is available

June 11, 2014 by Edwin Prakoso 2 Comments

Autodesk has released AutoCAD 2015 Service Pack 1. As usual, it fixes some bugs in AutoCAD. But there is one system variable added, because many request from AutoCAD users.

It’s the CURSORBADGE system variable. It controls the cursor badge, allow you to turn on/off the badges.

If you read our what’s new in AutoCAD 2015 interface, you know cursor badge (or crosshair badge) appears when you do an operation. Below is the badge for cross window selection.

any AutoCAD users complained about it and want Autodesk to add a system variable to turn it off. Now if you also don’t like it, you can install the Service Pack and turn the cursor badge off.

This is not the first time Autodesk bring back old setting to AutoCAD. In AutoCAD 2012 Service Pack 1, Autodesk bring back the option to use ARRAYCLASSIC.

However, there is still no option to change drafting settings icon to text. I know this is other thing that requested by many users. But sometimes we just have to move on.
