Who don’t like express tools? Almost every AutoCAD users use it and love it. If somehow you find it’s not installed on your machine, you might wondering how you can install it after AutoCAD installed.

If you use AutoCAD LT, you can stop here. AutoCAD LT doesn’t have this additional tools. In recent version of vanilla AutoCAD, the installation option should be on by default. However, in vertical products, you should check the option to get it. If you didn’t turn on the option, then it won’t be there. You need to add the installation to get it.

I have mep 2013 subscription. I want to install express tools and when I do, I get a prompt for files to install. Normally if I had an installation DVD/CD I’d be able to pop it in and the install could continue. Since I have a subscription I only have a downloaded executable of MEP 2013 which unpackes and installs autocad. How the heck do I install Express tolls off of a .exe? anybody know?

to install express tools go to your Programs and click uninstall/change (like you were going to remove autocad) but autocad will give you an option to install options including express tools. I select that and express tools begins to install but wants some files to finish from the installation media. I don’t have any because the subscription you download an executable of 2013.
