AutoCAD team is Teasing the Customers with Clues

March 20, 2018 by Edwin Prakoso 4 Comments

If you are following AutoCAD Facebook page or Twitter account, you see that the marketing team is posting some clues in the last few days. There is no description of the picture. But they are supposed to be clues. All the pictures have date stamp: 3.22.2018. As the date is still a few days away, then they are supposed to be clues for what will happen on March 22, 2018.

Here are the pictures AutoCAD team posted. Can you guess what will happen on 3.22.2018?

On March 12 they posted:

On March 13:

On March 14:

On March 15:

On March 16:

On March 17:

On March 18:

And finally on March 19, confirms that AutoCAD team will announce “something special”.

So what do you think it will be?

Maybe they will even LOWER the subscription cost because too many users are starting to switch to other compatible software!!!
I’m one of those considering other software…….

Pfew, tough one. Let’s do a bold guess. Something no one could EVER imagine. It’s that time of year again, so probably nobody will even THINK about what’s the version number after AutoCAD 2018 will be. Maybe – gasp – it’s 2019???

They will eliminate the current collections and individual product subscriptions and retire renewals on all maintenance plans. There will be a single unified collection for five times the cost of any of the current collections. They will then tout how they listened to their customers.

That’s snark speaking of course. In reality, there is something focused around ONE, which could be a single subscription price for their entire suite of products. Perhaps they will make their learning library available as a single subscription. Maybe they’ll give us ONE free cloud credit (damn, snarkiness creeping in again).

Maybe they’re going to stop screwing over their customers with these humongous yearly licensing fees?
